I think everyone would agree that it's ok to promote your own blog/site in your sig - it helps spread the hobby around and shows off what you are proud of.

Absolutely!!!! I was just a mite p***ed off the other morning, after finding so much spam, and (a bit tongue in cheek) was just saying that, in the mood I was in, having a URL in your sig might prove dangerous. I wouldn't knowingly trash anyone's account for plugging their own hobby blog. But if your site is promoting, oh, shoe polish, or pharmaceutical products, or tractor parts, or... you're fair game.

There seems to be a bit of paranoia developing here. :shock:

I think we all know what offending spam links look like . All we need to do is be vigilant and report to Phil or Paul.

All our members signatures appear to be fine and arn't the problem ;)
