Great War Cavalry

Postby Lord William Burke » Sat Feb 04, 2012 4:03 pm

Well, I've gone and gotten interested in yet another period. :roll: Just watched Spielberg's new movie Warhorse and am hooked on the cavalry. Soooo, I'm wondering where I could find some Great War cavalry, mounted and dismounted. British and German. I saw an article in War Games Illustrated on Great War cavalry once, but I don't remember the companies who make them. Any suggestions. Preferrably 28mm. ;) Thanks.
When asked by Cromwell what O'Neill thought of the surrender of Clonmel, White blankly replied;
"I cannot answer that as O'Neill is no longer in Clonmel."

I opt for Great war, the miniatures look better in my opinion. Here some late War ones:

Naturally IO had some ... :lol:

Great War look terrific, in my opinion, and the Warhammer Historical rules "The Great War" are fantastic for the early period of the war when the cavalry enjoyed such great open movements.

Great War miniatures for sure. I have some Early war British Cavalry, both mounted and dismounted. I did buy some Renegade Early war British, but found them too bulky in comparison, so haven't bothered painting them. Will put up a photo or two when my camera's charged up.
Now look 'ere Flight, it was the other shift.
