I really Hate You People - you guys have SO much history right at your fingertips!!!

I was playing with Google Earth and found this place: The National Roman Legion Museum in Caerleon.

Heres some pics: (one is of the Amphitheater, and it was torrential rain when we to see it so apologies for the quality of the picture!)








All in all it's a really nice place, A bit on the kiddie side, but not enough for it to be very informative
they have this recreation of a garrison room at the back with all the Armour in so kiddies can try it on (As such it's rather small) So one of my tour group decided it would be a good idea to try some chain mail on, needless to say when he couldn't get it off and was stuck it was utterly hilarious when the guide person was trying to pull him out of it!

it certainly does look like him.......I also noticed the pommel of his gladius it looks just like my wooden version...detailed in the same way so i would imagine Len from fabrica has made that and a lot of the armour and helmets etc too!

i'd really like to go there.

I've got a few days leave to take between now and the end of March and was fancying a bit of a cultural getaway - this sounds just the ticket!
Don't know about travelling to Wales though - they speak a bit funny there
