The leather covered shields are fantastic.
THe YEE HAW scrawled on the box lid has really made me smile.

Figures washed...flash removed (minimal, small infill at base of pilum and leg...easy)
Delightful figures. The cloak gives reassuring weight.
Will stick on heads, base and spray tonight!!!!

All ready for painting! Was going to do some photos but I dont think it would show you anything...the black base coat kills all the detail.
The heads needed a bit of green stuff under the neck to sit comfortably on the body...or the neck guard shaving to be 'under' the cloak.
They are great figures...very atmospheric,brooding.
As for the leather covered shields (bought seperately) they are nicely detailed...I'll have to think of something to do with the other 12 I now own

I'll have to make a start on mine sometime!
I was planning on converting one to a Tribune using an Attic helmet and possibly a round shield for a bit of variety. I think I'll have a play tomorrow and see what I can come up with...........

It is becoming difficult to resist the purchase of these sentries......I may have to indulge very soon.........working on so many things at the minute....repainting my spartans, but i'm sure I can find room for a few more Romans!

I love seeing those emails, you do get quite excited, although lately and this is even better, I'll order something say midday and get the usual "processing" email, it then arrives the following morning, (fantastic service BTW), and then later that day get an email that says "sent"

You lucky devil, living so close to them. My Romans had to hitch a ride on Royal Air (Pardon me for not knowing the exact name) all the way to the Pacific.... But I bet it was a load of fun for them.
