Whilst we're remastering many of the Bolt Action scenery pieces before re-releasing them we're also looking at what to add to the range.

Everyone and his dog does bunkers/pillboxes so there's little point in doing them really.

We already have a master plan for this stuff but the question is what else would you like to see?

Cheers,

Paul

Ordinary houses, theres plenty of 16th century etc. houses available but not many ordinary farm/town houses especially for western Europe.

The east front buildings from BAM that I owned are really greathttp://perrysheroes.free.fr/spip.php?article74As I have been playing on the West front for a couple of months some french norman buildings will be great ( I like the norman gates and the low walls ).Though I built several houses and farms in foam card, a range of nice and well priced buildings will ne interesting. Grand Manner norman buildings are great but really expensive. A couple of years ago, I asked Mick McGraw who designed the Arnica Montana Wild West Buildings if I may think of a WW2 range using the same method (4 resin walls with a roof) but he was already involved in another project (Victorian buildings).I tried to build my french buildings the same way, with generic walls (front, back, sides x 2). The walls can be in stone, bricks, rendering. Doors and Windows can be added or moulded. Some extra pieces for a shop front for instance can be added to the walls. The french hamlet I builthttp://perrysheroes.free.fr/spip.php?article62Olivier(PS) Unfortunately I fear that Paul won’t be able to look at the pictures…

Exactly! Cool

Those buildings look great Oliver.

How does ROE work in regards to movt through buildings. Do you need multi-part cut away buildings or do you just need the exterior and then play around it?

How about some generic apartment/office blocks for Stalingrad, Berlin, Kharkov? Also factory buildings. Nobody does these at present so you would be really cornering the market and they would be essential items for any WWII gamer interested in the above battles. You could also probably use em for moderns? I simply don't understand why nobody has done these before?

I totally agree with the above posting. Urban/city buildings are sorely lacking for all periods, not just WWII. Normandy/France has pretty much been done to death by Grand Manner, whilst Snapdragon do a comprehensive range of Russian village buildings. Various companies do bunkers in 28mm, but pretty much no-one does any kind of generic city blocks, either for Germany or the Soviet Union, which I find really, really odd, and a shame as I'd buy them by the bucket-load! Plus the whole point of generic apartment blocks is you just need one design. Simplicity at it's finest!

I think Holland/Italy are the only other two campaigns where buildings are lacking. I can't think of any companies that have specific buildings for these countries.

I have the Grand Manner Normandy stuff and they don't do a farmhouse so consider me to be voting for this too (I am actually using the Spanish farmhouse when I need one for Normandy). Some outbuildings as well (stables and sheds) would also help.

The scenery type I struggle to find is a range of ruined buildings. Generally each company will do 1, which will then look silly arranged alongside itself numerous times, or incongrous when placed next to ruined buildings of other manufacturers.

Craters caused from bombing/shelling would also be nice, though at a reasonable price for what is, in effect, a sheet of vacu-formed plastic (unlike a certain other company who already offer these but at an exorbitant price).

Geoff

p.s. excellent site and looking very good! Nice to see progress with BAM too!
