The size problem

Postby CommanderBaker » Sat Jan 28, 2012 5:58 am

So I own one m4a3 76 sherman by warlord its a 1/56 scale model.
I also own I german 251 d halftrack by the guys at diewaffenkamer.
their models are also 1/56. the issue seems to be that the sherman should be longer than the halftrack. but this is not the case.
The difference is slight but id like to get another halftrack this time from warlord.

Anyone know how close the warlord and diewaffenkamer models are?
The mainly 28s did a web review of the DWK one vs a bolt action one and they were really close.
I just want to know the halftrack i have is acceptable in comparisson to other vehicles like the sherman and the warlord 251 d.

Also is the warlord one prebased??

I do not know how long the Warlord model is but a quick google has the Sherman is 5.84m long and the 251 5.8m so sounds as if what you have work together just fine.

To my knowledge the 251 is only a couple of inches shorter than a Sherman anyway. That is going to be somewhat negligible In this scale. I mean, both were about 19 ft in length. How much is 2 or 3 inches going to be in 1/56 scale. Well, what is two inches divided by 56? ;) (cue pun)

As I posted earlier the differnce is 40mm which scaled down is 0.71mm. Hardly noticeable and perhaps casting variances mean that may disappear anyway.
