Thanks very much everyone, much appreciated. I've bought myself a copy of rafalgar, which looks like an excelent set of rules!

Great news! You will thoroughly enjoy the game. Trafalgar is a great set of rules, and pure fun to play. My fleet gets regular outings, and I have never had a less than enjoyable game - even when getting flattened by the wind! :shock:

Very true, it's great fun! Got to love it when when the wind mucks your plans up... I think the fact you can play it with a variable number of ships is great; it's not just for large-scale actions like the Battle of Trafalgar.

I dont mind Trafalgar but Kiss Me Hardy from Too Fat Lardies is quite fun as well.
