Roman Murder Mystery (part 1)

Postby clivethecelt » Mon Jan 16, 2012 10:15 pm

Don't know if any of you have seen this documentary; it premiered in the US in September, but is due to be shown on the National Geopgraphic Channel on Wed night (18th) at 9pm, though the website says 27th Jan, so not sure when it'll be on! It was made following the discovery of a burial site at Vindolanda in a barrack room, dating from the beginning of the 3rd century AD; the barracks were occupied by the 4th Cohort of Gauls. The director is one Rick King; it was filmed on location at Vindolanda, Arbeia Roman Fort (South Shields) and in Gloucestershire. More info at:

The house slave did it.
