An other Armylist Supplement???

Postby NurgleHH » Sun Jan 15, 2012 10:36 am

Hello,

after the Ancient-Supplement, will there come a supplement for the dark ages and the middle ages?? And when can we expect it (not a fixed date, but something to work with)????

I believe there is one in the works for dark and middle ages, and i'm pretty sure Rick will be able to confirm this :) but if you read the first supplement's description on here i'm pretty sure it mentions another one. Alternatively you could join the Yahoo group and ask on there (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/HailCaesarRules/)

(there is already a viking list uploaded by Rick on there)

Yes, Rick is hard at work on the second supplement which will cover Late Antiquity, Dark Ages and early Medieval.

Yes I got distracted a bit helping to finish the Bolt Action WW2 game which Warlord are doing for Osprey - Alessio and I were working on that over Christmas and New Year as the deadline was the first week in January.

The second volune of HC army lists (back onto it now!) covers late antiquity, dark age and early medieval - roughly 250AD to 1200AD - though I'm stretching things slightly to cover Mongols. I've got 50 lists finished so far so I really need about ten more to make up the same size book as the first. This is what I have so far... any requests for the rest shout up now! remember - up to 1200 or thereabouts.

Palmyran, Middle Imperial Roman,Sassanid Persian, Goths, Early Saxon, Early Franks, Huns, Late Imperial Roman, African Vandals, White Huns, Gepids, Visigothic Spain, Ostrogothic Italy, Early Byzantine.

Scots-Irish, Arthurian British, Merovingian Franks, Avars, Picts, Khazars, Aran Conquest, Bulgars, Tang China, Thematic Byzantine, Arab Empire, Carolingian Franks, Pecheneg, Anglo-Saxons, Rus, Vikings.

Almoravid Moors, Fatimid Egypt, Tagmatic Byzantine, Al-Andalus, Christian Spain, Ghaznavid, Normans, Seljuk Turks, Feudal French, Feudal Germans, Feudal Scots, Comnenian Byzantine, Italo-Normans, Burid and Zengid Syria, Crusaders, Ayyubid, Lombard League, Platagenet English, Khwarazmian Persian, Mongol.

I agree with big mike, Meso america would be a very good place for some of the army lists :D

There's a massive scope for conflicts in Meso-America between the various native nations for centuries before the Spanish turned up. I did some Tlaxcalans (eh? a Mexican people) years back for Neil Burt (Troop of Shewe) and read a little about the world they lived in. I found it fascinating, the whole business of war parties raiding their neighbours, not to kill but rather to gather slaves.

Three questions:

1. When do you anticipate this second book to be released? I have a lot of guys at my store that will jump into playing once this book is released, and I'd like to give them an ETA.

2. Will there be a third book covering the period 1200 AD to 1450 AD or thereabouts? There is another group of guys waiting for War of the Roses and Hundred Years war lists.

3. Will there be a book or a list covering Samurai?

Thanks,
Chuck
