To my horror the shop has changed hands!!! It is now called the 'Wizards Asylum Comics and Games'. Not a single historical ANYTHING was there, same for the shop it use to be. However, when it came to paints it was THE place to go to. They carried the whole line of GW as well as the complete Model Color and Game color offered by Vallejo.
The shop has a hefty following of games like Warhammer and games like D&D and sell all the toys needed for those. However, they have decided to cut back on the paints they will offer. They are only going to carry about 1/2 of the GW paints and only about 1/3 of the Vallejo Game color and no Model color!!!!
However, they do have something I haven't seen before - Vallejo washes. They had six colors to choose from but I only got 'Black Shade', 'Sepia Shade' and 'Fleshtone Shade'.
Have any of you used these? If so, how did they work for you?
I did find this review on lone though: http://lascannonslances.blogspot.com/2010/08/great-vallejo-wash-review.html.
after this stop I went to the only other Hobby shop in the area that is even close to a gamin shop (it's about like the first but they carry trains, models, and R/C vehicles as well as board games, but nothing historical. They do carry Wargames Illustrated sporadically though!!!
Anyway, I picked up a few pots of GW paints as well as a bunch of new brushes. Hopefully the wife will not see the amount I spent for all of the paints and brushes....
