Friday (the 13th) night thread

Postby mikeland » Fri Jan 13, 2012 4:44 pm

Not having an unlucky day myself... lunch times amble down to the Model shop was rewarded with a shiny box of WG goodness.. still a couple of hours left to do at work then off home to a salad tea, followed by an hour or two working on the house and then the next episode of Sherlock. Might even splash some paint on some Praetorians...

Finish the bases on my first lot of Sudan (Brit' heavy camel corps officers and camels), might get some photos up over the week end, then I shall undercoat my Legion Etrangere that turned up yesterday :D

Finished my Warlord 10,5 cm LeFh 18/40 today and got by mail a parcel with Trojan war ancients. So a good start in the weekend.
A small game this evening, a small trench raid. A game we played before.

Mad dash on the train tonight to go to my parents. Couple of drinks with my younger brother in the village local tonight. Tomorrow will be off to watch Northwich Victoria vs Staines Town in the FA Trophy which more and likely will be surrounded by a couple of drinks before and after, then back home on Sunday, so no hobby for me this weekend.

But I did start painting a GW Space Marine Dreadnought last night :D

An evening of playing Dad Taxi is ahead for me.

In between trips I shall be working on some plastic German conversions, the masters for a surprise inter-war vehicle and Dabbling with the masters for the Matilda I we acquired with the BEF MIniatures range.
Cheers,

Paul Sawyer

following a thread on the Pendraken forum I am re-introducing my rule od doing something painting related every night however small or seemingly insignificant. Suspect it will be priming a Panther or continuing the painting of an old Hovels La Belle Alliance (but as a generic building)

Today was the first time I left the wee lass in a creche ... it was only for an hour but it broke my heart.

Tonight is pizza from the Cardiff legend that is Rocket Joe's, rugby on the telly, lie-in tomorrow. Nice.

I'm thinking of getting my telescope out and doing a bit of astrophotography and to be kind I'm lending my CPU power to SETI for the night. I'm processing some Data from the Arecibo array.
