Napoleonic - British Landing at the Prussian city Kolberg

Postby Fugazi » Wed Jan 11, 2012 2:36 pm

In December/January we started a small campaign within the team with fictitious background.
The scenario ist located at the beginning of the Prussian uprising against Napoleon.
The British intend to support this by landing an army at the prussian city "Kolberg".

The city and port of Kolberg with the fortress on the left side:

The British lead the landing through a strong bombardment.
The strong fire of five ships of the line focuses on the harbor fortress, which is also completely destroyed.

The French defenders get their positions:

The first British troops attempt to land with medium and small boats in the harbor.

An rapidly formed Irish battalion begin the attack after the first Irish battalion was driven back into the harbor.
With the support of naval gunfire and a successful attack on the church, the French lines broke.

Italian troops be smashed by british artillery and musket fire from the landingship:

Entry of the victorious British troops in Kolberg and a euphoric welcome to the liberators ... even if the French side sees it differently ;)

Withdrawal of the defeated French troops from Kolberg:

Superb photos there and some lovely buildings & boats.

Absolutely the best stuff!
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

The Figures are a mix from Perry Miniatures, Victrix, Elite, Front Rank, Foundry, some conversions etc.
The Buildings are from Grand Manner ... "only the best from the best for the best" ... :D

Looks superb. Those fantasy settings are real fun, nobody can argue about the units you use.
Well, that priest in protestant Prussia 8-) .

Will there be a joint action with Prussians?

I think so. We play a little "campaign" around this theme "British Landing at Kolberg".

But next, a russian force must cross a little river to reach the prussian main force.

In June this year we plan a big Weekend-Game, where the allies (British, Prussians, Russians) will fight a battle against the french Army. After this, you can see a lot of picts here in this forum :)
