You guys need to do more research. Everyone knows this is what a real Viking looks like.

Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

  You know its funny how hairy Germans with furs have turned into Vikings with horned helmets. As we research more we begin to understand the ancient periods more and the Vikings are an example of this afterall it was hollywood that portrayed them with Horned helms and Early christians no doubt who were scared to death of them and portrayed them as devils  Getting back to my point most manufacture hairy german tribes men because thats the way they were portrayed for so long in history and to be honest most dont mind this portayal ,right or wrong :o Warlord Games will be on a winner here and im sure they will have models portayed without furs and good on them for updating the Germanic range which i have stated previously needs it desperatly. As for the figure with the bow im sure that could be remodeled by collectors and painters to portray what they believe the Germans used.
Cheers CMT
Once you get them running, you can stay on top of them, and that way a small force can defeat a large one every time

I think it was the Victorians, not hollywood who popularised the idea of horned Vikings. Victorian 'history' is responsible for many of the historic myths that are still popularly held today. Hollywood just perpetuated the myth.

And worse the Victorian pictures are still used in new books. Why? They are free.

Many still seem to find it hard to believe that ordinary farmers won a campaign against 3 legions. They must be big wood ogers, much bigger than a Roman and clad in furs.
I'm sure that the gamers will buy them.

Yes, you are right, and visually speaking the fur clad giant barbarian cuts an exciting and romantic figure, fighting off the invader the noble savage! (same romantic delusions make people follow 'jolly' cavaliers in ECW ;) )

All together now, "If you go down to the woods today, ..." ;)
Mr Saleh's already done a few Celt sculpts - a druid, a priestess/witch and an aging chieftain; have a look at the Gorgon studios site:

Just a tiny request ... pretty please ... some separate Celt heads, like the lovely Roman ones ... the linebreaker heads are separate, they'd be great ... :?:
