Just got myself a nice bottle of Lagavulin, so I'm fighting the urge to open it now because I'm going to need it for tomorrow night. Planning to have a game of Monty Python's Silly Game, which my son acquired tonight. This is a boardgame that is right up BD's street! You have to know Monty Python well, because it is a form of Trivial Pursuit and full of obscure questions about them and their shows! :D

I wracked my brain trying to work if I'd bought something for someone's christmas and I'd forgotten. I opened it and was delighted to find a Union Cannon from Perry Miniatures!
Just two or three days is excellent for delivery.

Gotta love their packaging. Better now that they don't use the cotton batting - I fought every figure getting them out.

I'm going to confess, the only time I've ever bought their stuff in metal is on ebay with the clam stuff. I was always put off with the complicated ordering system they had but the new site is wonderful.

My head is also realing this week as the Normandy 44 re-enactment society members are branching out into a subsidiary of ACW re-enactment. We've lalrwady got the ball rolling on handmade uniforms by Rachel Kelly and sourced everything else. Being the N44 core we're still looking into getting a ACW tent city to match the WWII one.
Not just N44 members that are welcome, btw.
Let them eat Static.

Watched Hornblower last night (Gregory Peck version)...loved it (again)

Best napoleonic naval movie apart from Rebellion with A. Guiness. The new Hornblower ...... .

This evening, doing a group of light Infantry for my hellenistic 28mm army, just waiting for the base to dry.

Discussion with my girlfriend about a "new" antique item she got. She didn't notice some replacements.

Nice! Got a bottle of Glenfiddich for 30% off the other day - and tomorrow it gets to get enjoyed!

Great to see so many single malt lovers on this forum. Perhaps we need a specific section to compare notes! ;)

Seconded Big Al, living here in Scotland means it practically comes out of the taps and Lagavulin is my all time fav', just don't try doing any modelling after, I have and it wasn't pretty (with figures that is not strutting up and down the catwalk! )
