HC Feature in Miniature Wargames

Postby Big Al » Tue Dec 13, 2011 11:04 pm

Andrew Hubback, editor of Miniature Wargames, has announced the contents of the latest issue of the magazine. In it Gary Mitchell has written up an account of a playtest of a War of The Roses game using Hail Caesar. Gotta be worth a look! :D

Might have to grab that.

Someone ran a Aztecs vs Conquistadors game at a local con, Legends in the Fall. VERY nice looking game I might add.

Sorry to say I couldn't play as I was running my WWII game next to him.

I did have time to speak to him and he found the game actually worked better with Hail Caesar than Black Powder. I found that interesting.

Also in that issue is a (ahem) great article about building dark-age style dykes, the guy seems to know what he's talking about...... ;)

Got it, read it, not hugely impressed TBH.

I think the stats could be dealt with a lot better. I will get a pdf together of what I have done and post it as an example of how I think it can be done.
