The cohort commanders have all reported. Our loses are non. The cavalry have lost a third of their number and the commander is badly shaken. He blames himself but how was he to know what he was poking his lance into?
The auxillieries are all lost...the burning fires bare testament to that. After we pushed out of the gates (that was a debacle that needs addressing) the heathens evaporated. At least I now know where they pratice their dark magic. The engineers will have something to say about that!
We need to push a road north towards Eboracum...that can only mean trouble.
What REALLY worries me is the local obsession with witchcraft.....it unsettles the men, not to mention me.
