TYW Newbie wondering where to start?

Oh, I'm definitely going to do both eras. I'm pretty set on doing TYW after my WW2 British are done. I'm really looking forwards to painting Pike & Shotte-era figures.

Max the first thing i would recommend is, it is healthy to have an interest in the Civil war period but ......just put that down that Pike and matchlock and pick up the Gladius.
Take a look at Romans...Romans have everything, in the civil war both sides wore red......some wore floppy hats and frilly shirts, some didn't.
You know where you are with Romans, big shield short sword, large empire. You know it makes sense

Did someone mention a RED army?
