two probably tired old questions...

Postby pilum40 » Thu Dec 15, 2011 3:14 am

I've just purchased BP and the Last Argument of Kings to have a fun set of rules for my 54mm AWI collection. I'm sure these two questions have been worn out but I've got on my flame suit :o

1. Has anyone on this forum played BP in 54mm? Will it work? What movement scale is best? We'll be playing on a 12'x6' table or will extend it to 16'x6 if need be for width and depth. My game house table can expand up to 24'x6 so table space isn't a problem. Any pearls would be appreciated.
2. Is there a set of documents for orders of battle (similar to the old WAB rosters) and a quick sheet set that is downloadable rather than stretching out my rule book?

Thanks in advance!!

Hello!

Any scale can be used. I would only be concerned about the 6' part of the table, you might have to cut movement in half. Play a game or two, and you will know what I mean. We cut movement now for Napoleonics in 28mm.

Regarding downloads, all the resources for Black Powder are located here

Would love to see pics of your 54mm minis!

I think 12x6 is standard size for BP, so just keep everything as is. For normal games with 25mm figures on a 6x4 table, we halve movement/shooting and unit sizes, to get more units on the table.

Join the Yahoo Group as well. There are more player resources available there because it is easier to upload them there than it is here.
The rules are very flexible and adaptable. There are many sources for OOBs from magazine articles to dedicated books and websites.
