AB Miniatures?

Postby Vogless » Mon Nov 21, 2011 4:31 pm

I came across a post on another forum that stated Paul tried to aquire AB Miniatures.

Anyone know if this is true? Is Warlord considering 20mm? Is Paul secretly dating Angelina Jolie?

Inquiring minds want to know. :D :D :D

Well, I do know that AB has been acquired by someone else, but the who is unknown? There was a discussion here on if Warlord was the buyer or not; there didn't seem to be a conclusive answer.

So not much more info?

And I thought it was Jennifer Aniston?
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

Not quite. In the thread relating to someone else taking them on I merely said I would have loved to as they are top quality 20mm models. Warlord is all about 28mm though so not going to happen.
Cheers,

Paul Sawyer

And I divined the Tabletop Gods and Speculated it was Milicast of Glasgow. If only bookies took some wargame action.

There is some speculation that Eureka could be in for a shout . Whoever gets the range will have a fair amount of remedial work to be done on the moulds and some may need raplacing. There have been one or two decenting voices recently about quality issues including miscasts prior to AB deciding to sell up.

As regards the scale in general IMO 15 or 20mm is the better scale for doing WW2/ modern battles . 28mm is far better for Skirmish type games unless you have access to a large gaming area.

Before anybody says anything, I am not anti 28mm either. 28mm is my prefered scale for Ancients,Dark Ages,ECW and Napoleonics. There is also talk at the club of doing WW2 Pacific next year and since only a few tanks and other vehicles were involved we are likely to be doing this in 28mm as well. ;)
