HC - pretty straighforward, lots of dice rolling, very flexible rules (more like structured guidelines, with good game mechanics - esp movement) - and a good support network; there's a Yahoo! group and this Forum where you can field queries, and Mr Priestley frequently responds from Olympus (we're not worthy!!). And it's a really nice book, world away from previous rule sets (lots of nice pics, easy to follow).
@Carvel: Dang! Finally seen through my cunning plan; I'd've got away with it if it wasn't for these meddling kids! :x

sounds like a very good rulebook, i'm quite eager to buy it now :D one question though, what size armies are required to play it? does it range from small skirmishes to huge battles?

I get mine from Hobbycraft but if you google Windsor and Newton Galleria Acrylic Mediums....Medium Grain gel is the one i use, you should be able to get it fairly easily....it's normally around £8.....$14ish but it does go a long way. 250Ml pot
Hope that helps.

Others are better qualified to answer this one, I suspect, but I feel you can tailor the rules to virtually any size battle, though skirmishes aren't really catered for per se, unless you use lots of "Tiny" units (the rules specify different unit sizes, e.g. infantry - Tiny = 5-6 minis, Small = 8-12, Standard = 16-20, Large = 32-40).

Clive: Cheers for the reply  i googled "hail casear unit size" turns out theres an article on this very website about it  talk about right under your very nose hehehe, had a thought about this, and i guess that means with a box of 30 legionaries you could make 3 "standard" units of 10, which in my opinion is pretty damn awesome as it reduces the amount of cash you have to spend in order to have a decent army, that said you could make 10 the small size and have 20 as "standard" oooh the possibilities are endles  really looking forward to getting this rule book now.

Mikeland: Thanks for interest :) i have uploaded some more photos on the same album, and will put some more on soon :p
