2nd Nassau 1815 - Could i use Perry Plastic French ?

I am about to start the 2nd Nassau Regiment (Waterloo) and was looking at the beautiful Perry figures and was wondering to save some money could i use the plastic French just buying the grenadiers and command sets, any thoughts

Really depends how accurate you want to be, but the references I have show them with a single breasted jacket with a distinct waistcoat showing below, both green with yellow piping. They also show green or grey trousers with a Hungarian knot. One picture does show a shako with oilskin cover so at least you could get away with that, otherwise the shako badge is very distinctive.

In the Waterloo Companion by Mark Adkin there is an illustration of an officer, also showing a single breasted jacket, what looks like plain grey overalls and a covered shako.

The single breasted jacket alone would really rule out the Perry French.

Thanks for the info i dont think the French infantry plastics will be any good from your information, i have priced and at a 1.20 scale it would only save me £20.00 against the metals.
