True - but i'd rather have something good later than something half finished now ;)

I don't know that it's "half finished". It sounds more like a quality issue with the book and I think quality is important to us all. It isn't an essential book, just a "nice to have" book. :)

Yes - I guess Paul would be the best person to post on this - but we're late getting to print with this because Paul's just been too busy to progress it any faster - this being the problem when you only have the one chap to do all the remaining production work as well as getting all the new releases ready and so forth.

However - we have finished putting in all the corrections and updates - for which many thanks to those who have helped out - you did help quite a lot so there were quite a lot of corrections :)

I'm hoping we can crack on next week and sort out the photos and odd bits so the book can go to print - but it's going to be a few weeks yet before it's ready I'm afraid. So - thanks for pre-ordering - it does help tremendously and is appreciated - and I'm sorry about the longer than expected wait.

By the way - if anyone hasn't seen it yet the new Wargames Illustrated has a Hail Caesar write-up of the Battle of Maldon with Gripping Beast - nice terrain set-up and very well done armies as you'd expect.

Sounds to me like you need more production staff! Canada calling, hello, Mr. Priestley!

As rick says, I've been up to my eyes in stuff but the good news is we've hired someone else to help take the pressure off me - they start at the beginning of October.

At this stage I really wouldn't want to guess at the release date for the book but with the plastic Napoleonic Russians well under way I can focus more of my time on getting the book progressed. I'll keep you posted!

As Rick says, thanks for the pre-orders and we'll get the books ou to you as soon as we're able.
Cheers,

Paul Sawyer

Sadly, I have no idea how to post documents on the Warlord site. The plan was to do just that and then to add to the lists once we've pubished. However... as I say... no idea how to do that... it's a bloomin' mystery.

So I've put some lists up onto the Yahoo group as that does allow you to post documents.

I would suggest contacting a Paul Sawyer or perhaps Phil. I understand they know all the ins and outs of posting on the website!

Hope this helps!

This is primarily directed to Rick Priestly. About the lists posted on the Yahoo Groups site. Is this the format that will be used in the book? For instance, with regard to special rules, I would assume that a unit can only use a special rule if it is listed as an option for that unit in the special rules column. Correct? Will point totals be calculated for each unit and is the cost of each special rule listed? Another feature of the Yahoo group lists is that there are limits for the composition of the force such as no more than 25% can be cavalry; at least 50% infantry, etc.

Will there be recommended army point totals? Any scenarios included?

Thanks,
Targa
