I've used GW Khemri Brown, Vallejo Cavalry Brown & Light Brown for my Horses.

I try to do nothing super-special, just a solid paintjob to get the whole army done in a reasonable time.

100 a month is a good rate :) I take about a month to do 20-30 figures, but i dont paint everyday.Probably 1 -2 hours at a time 3 -4 days a week.Yours come out a good standard and at a great rate indeed.Well done that man :D
Once you get them running, you can stay on top of them, and that way a small force can defeat a large one every time

Yes that is a cracking rate, impressive. I am like Centurio Marcus T, I get between 15-25, at most 30 figures done in a month, depending on what other commitments.
