Late Victorian era/ World War One naval games

Postby david1234 » Tue Jan 25, 2011 7:49 am

Hi, can anyone point me in the right direction for finding a rule set to cover one of the following periods Late Victorian era/ World War One, in regards to battles at sea.  Any help would be appreciated.

My personal favorite for WWI is Naval Thunder: http://navalthunder.com/ Fast to learn, fairly quick play, fun, and reasonably accurate. Lot's of supplements as well.

Thanks for all the responses, I went for perfidious albion in the end, and managed to get the last copy of the rule book :) (Physical copy that is, electronic versions are avaliable too)

@david1234: Sorry, had seen your thread previously, and was sure I'd seen a set of rules somewhere, but only found them again whilst looking for something on Phil Barker's website. He has a set of rules for pre-dreadnaught naval battles called "Damn Battleships Again", covering 1890-1913. Dunno if they're any good, but here's the link:

@clive, no worries, I'm just grateful for the response. I'll give the link a look, as Perfidious Albion was only £10, so I can afford to buy other rulesets if I want.
