Kalmar Union War AAR

Hi

In this post I will give you notise then you can find a new AAR from myHail Caesar, Kalmar Union War games i.e war in Sweden during the 15th centery, at my blog http://www.dalauppror.blogspot.com

The first AAR are from a small scenario i writen based on the Battle at Älgsundet in 1457, then the Swedish Archbishop Jöns Bengtsson (Oxenstierna) rebelled against the Swedish King Karl Knutsson (Bonde)...

I diden´t have the time to go down to the club and play it ou,t so my kitchen table had to do...and the only gamingmat I had was 60x90cm!!! But as Hail Caesar is a realy adaptable game system so it worked out fine:)

Very nice, and it's great to see the rules work fine for battles with smaller armies and a (much!) smaller table than those recommended.
I only have a 4'x4'/120x120cm board and - for now - a couple of units for 2 armies, but that doesn't seem to be a problem at all then!
Was just about to ask you whether those are Perry WotR models, but then I scrolled down and saw all the close ups, which was nice anyway because the units look great with all the diversity in colour. Good stuff!

Yes HC worked real nice in the little format to.

Most of the minis I use are Perry, but I have mixed in lots of Kingmaker Hussits, some Crusader, Gripping Beast, Black Tree, Foundry and even some old Games Workshop minis in the units...

I notice that I have forgot to post here about our latest HC game, ofcourse a Kalmar Union War game, "Battle of Helgeandsholmen" 21 August 1463...

...The evil? Danish King have imprisoned the Swedish Archbishop...and the Swedish Allmoge start a rebellion to get him free..or to get lower taxes...

@Dalauppror: Those "dinosaur eggs" behind the infantry unit in the foreground LHS - are they casualty markers? Like them, nice idea - easy to make.

Hi long time no see...been painting and playing some SAGA minis/games...AAR at my blogg ofcourse... and a commision EIR army in 15mm, so I havent had any time for HC games...hope to get going with my KUW games after christmas...

I think the "dino eggs" was used as dissorder markers and we used dead men and horses as casualty markers....
