Postby Germanicus » Fri Apr 04, 2008 12:36 pm

Hi Paul

May I ask, if are there plans for a cooperation with LBM for shield transfers?

Cheers

LBM shield transfers?

Postby philbagnall » Mon Apr 14, 2008 6:05 am

I read the wording of the box-set content with interest - waterslide transfers with artwork by LBM. That to me doesn't equal LBM transfers necessarily - as LBM transfers themselves ARENT waterslide are they? So - to clarify if you could please Paul if poss - are the boxes themselves to contain true LBM transfers or Warlord-produced waterslides using LBM artwork? And if the latter, are LBM planning alternative shield pattern transfers in their usual stick down, soak off format?

LBM shield transfers?

Postby Paul @ Warlord Games » Mon Apr 14, 2008 2:31 pm

Hi guys,

This is an easy one for me to clarify...

We are producing full colour waterslide transfers. This will be 28 scutum and 2 buckler transfers. They are waterslide much like those you find in an Airfix kit - wet the backing paper and slide the transfer off onto your chosen surface - but there are two very important differences:

  1. The artwork will match that does by Little Big Men Studios in that it isn't flat colours. Steve at LBMS did the artwork so you'll have no owrries about the look of them!
  2. The finish won't be the standard gloss that you see on most waterslide sheets - ours is a much more matt finish. Probably better to call it a satin finish though.

For the record LBMS tranfers are part sticker/part waterslide. You stick the back to the sheild and then need to add a little water to remove the backing. Genius things they are - thanks to Steve for revolutionising the way we do shields!

I hope that answers all the qiuestions about these!

Cheers,

Paul
