Is there any book on Mansfeld and his armies most of my knowledge is from father tilly armylists wikipedia and general 30 years war history books. would there be any books in English?

You might want to track down a copy of "The German Military Enterpriser and his work force. A study in European economic and social history." by Fritz Redlich, which covers Mansfeld's style of warfare.

I am not aware of any English publications on the person Mansfeld (for all that is worth - coming from Austria I do not follow the anglo-saxon market), but if you have any specific questions, I might be able to help you out.
