Future of the forums

Morning!I just wanted to give you an update on the forums. As you know things are creaking a bit with our current software and for some time we've been looking for suitable replacements.We've been testing a couple over the last few weeks but have decided neither are what we want or need. So, we're now testing four more. The main problem we need to overcome is the movement of existing posts to the new forums. If we can overcome that obstacle we'll be able to move fairly swiftly.We'll keep you posted...Cheers,Paul

It sounded a bit doomy in the title, so thought i'd have a read..............not to bad then!I've noticed of late that things have been much improved. it wouldn't be too good to loose all the posts, so hopefully transfer will go ok!

As long as posting pictures will be made easier I am lookig forward to the new software.Maybe I will even be able to use my Apple device to post as I do elsewhere?!?However, I will better mentally prepare myself to get demoted to Legionary…again  Cheers S.P.

Quick update: we've decided on phbb3 software. Our developer has been spending today making a few changes and skinning it.Next task will be to get the database converted and we're good to go...Cheers,Paul

This is terrific news, I browse 90% of the time from my iPhone and almost never get to post! Although perhaps based on my volume of posting this weekend, you may wish to reconsider the option of allowing me to use my phone.
