I am baffled at the napoleonic foray from warlord......
was hoping for some news on the japanese ww2 releases though.
Commence the Da Happy Ork Dance! Yes, hoplites and phalangites are similar, in the same way as all Roman heavy infantry and armoured knights are pretty much the same, even though they're not.I'd planned to use Victirx hoplites with WF Numidian shields as my Pontic pike, even though the shields are a bit on the large side and the hoplites lack the strap to support the weight of the pike and shield. Nope, don't have to do that now.Makes up for another hard day at work complete power cuts. Now back to Da Happy Ork Dance.Wot do you mean I have a sum to do?
.And Macedonians are a good choice I think, you will definitely need lots of figures to have a convincing phalanx, ideal for plasics!I started a Foundry Macedonian army about 4 years ago, spent about 200 quid and still could do with more infantry (I hope Warlord's will be compatible, otherwise…I will have to put my Foundries on ebay
) Can't wait for their release and I hope you are aware that Alexander fought in Afghanistan and India as well, it doesn't always has to be Persians! Cheers S.P.

And Macedonians are a good choice I think, you will definitely need lots of figures to have a convincing phalanx, ideal for plasics!Assuming they are sold per 30 a 40, it takes just 9 to 7 kits to get a 256-men strong syntagma.Am I crazy for thinking that actually sounds doable?Whatever it will be, I've yet to see a formation that looks better with big numbers than a phalanx. All those pikes look really menacing. Now I just need to convince somebody to collect some Persians to charge into that wall of pointy death...
