I like the new Peter Young figure in the WW2 range - how about a figure of him in his Sealed Knot uniform?

That would be good, as a nice general purpose officer for any army?!?

I second that. I remember taking a picture of him at a reenactment at Sudeley Castle in about 1979! Perhaps JS was there?  Wink

I remember chatting to him at the Auldearn muster in 86 or 87, must have been just before his sad demise. He had some excellent anecdotes.I'd definitely buy an ECW style mini of him.

Wot a good plan!! maybe we will do a charismatic english gent general  who liked a G and T.. and a jolly good punch up... I did indeed also meet "The Bear " a few times .,,but cannot alas claim I knew him..but I do wargame like him....He famously , to me, inspected my new regiment at worcester...he was  witty as ever  and baffling ,  coming up to my new Sgt of Pike and  saying "Youre jolly tall,,,, well done!" then moving on .... there is no answer to that!  Cheers  john s

John S,
In the light of some pretty disrespectful comments about Peter Young on a more recent thread  , can we now have that "charismatic English gent General who liked a G & T" figure please. I think there's a few of us that would want one on principle.
It's not hero-worship, you understand ;) it's about the Englishness (at any other time I would say Britishness but there's a point to be made) of the English Civil Wars! ;)

Back in 1975 or '76, I had the great honour to meet Brigadier Peter Young personally and up close during a re-enactment, i knocked him off his horse with a wet mop as his cavalry rode down our artillery battery. He was very gracious and came looking for me afterwards to introduce himself and bought me a drink (orange juice as i was underage for alcohol) and chatted for a while. I was only a teenager at the time and imagined i was in a great deal of bother when i heard i was being looked for by "the brig" as captain general of the sealed knot.
