COH II TVNG All Plastic Auxiliaries

Postby Suetonius Paullinus » Sat Mar 12, 2011 4:51 pm

Inspired by the upcoming release of Hail Caesar and 'A Tale of IV Gamers' I revived my auxiliaries project again today.Last time I focussed on the non WG plastic cavalry, this time it's the infantry.Since their release I always wanted to mix Gripping Beast's plastics with Warlord's plastic auxiliaries and finally I got around to actually do it:      And here my all plastic centurion (...w.i.p!):   Cheers S.P.

Very nice...is the vexilarius a mixture of Wargames Factory auxiliary cavalry and...something else?
Pardon me, Julius! Here wast thou bay'd, brave hart;
Here didst thou fall; and here thy hunters stand,
Sign'd in thy spoil, and crimson'd in thy lethe.
- Julius Caesar, Act 3 Scene 1

Wow these are great. Fab paint job. Really love the Centurion, great conversion. When I get round to doing a unit of auxiliaries I think I might copy that!

They're good. They're very good.

COH II TVNG All Plastic Auxiliaries

Postby Suetonius Paullinus » Sun Mar 13, 2011 3:02 pm

Thanks for your kind comments gents, much appeciated!@Gen LeeAs much as I love the Warlord plastic auxiliaries, they are all in an attacking pose and there are only4 different bodies in a very similar stance with limited conversion possibilities.By mixing them with coverted minis I will create a more unique auxiliary force, ready to defend and guard the borders of the empire..Cool Centurion  Another Tungrian (body is again a Viking, this time from this infamous colonial company wich is currently having difficulties..):    2 more are waiting to be painted, so far finished:    Cheers S.P.

Fantastic painting as ever. Where did the body of the centurian come from? Is it Wargames Factory as well?
