That's an excellent looking model.I've had a look on the Hovels website and notice the buildings are 25mm scale.Do you think they would look out of place with 28mm Warlord Celts? Or does the difference in scale not look too bad.I've been wanting to get some buildings to make some terrain features and these look just the job if the scales match.

I'm not entirely sure whether in those times flowers would have been 'cultivated'. Being a much 'greener' place there would have been a lot more wildflowers around than now – within easy reach of picking and I would have thought that any energy expended gardening would have been for growing edible plants/fruits/vegetables. Any thoughts?I was thinking of adding some 'frames' with animal skins drying on them....and some buckets.....and rope - everyone needs a good rope. Thanks Shadegate, yes they are classed as 25mm scale. The figures I used are all WG (but on the small side) – I used the roundhuts as standard because I believe the overall height and diameter are easily big enough for 28mm. Technically though, the walls could have been about 7mm higher and the doors 5mm higher and about 3mm wider. You could add a 'spacer' underneath made from ply or MDF and you could also cut out the doorway(s) with a hacksaw and make new doors from balsa wood. I scratchbuilt the storehouse to fit with the other buildings but yes, if it was a 'stand alone' piece I would have made it a little larger.

I'd assumed you were using 25mm mini's as they look like an excellent match up in the photo's. Being able to use 28's and get results like yours mean Hovels are getting an order from my Christmas cash (relatives take note please). A few mm discrepancy can be put down to a bit of subsidence. A Monty Python "It sank into the swamp" moment, lolThanks for the quick reply.
