Here's a few pictures of my latest additions to my Roman army. The first contubernium...

The second contubernium...

2nd Contubernium

All together...

Western Auxiliary Archers

I have a large unit of auxiliary spearmen (metals) to add to the full century and cavalry already posted.

Very good, green is a great colour for archers.Did you use army painter and which green did you use?

Cheers Centurio M T

Once you get them running, you can stay on top of them, and that way a small force can defeat a large one every time

Western Auxiliary Archers

Postby Little Odo » Tue Mar 23, 2010 4:21 pm

Hi Centurio MT - I used GW's Snot Green and Bleached Bone for the Green/White and then 'dipped' them before finishing with AP Anti-Shine Matt Varnish.

Thanks for the kind comments chaps. I am an exceptionally slow painter but will eventually get all my Warlord Romans and Celts up here! So far I have finished a full century of legionaries, a unit of Roman cavalry, these archers and, for the Celts, bare chested warriors, the crone and kids and a couple of packs of dogs. I still have several units to complete on each side.
