help me choose a figure

Postby carvel2 » Thu Feb 16, 2012 2:19 pm

Hi folks,
I want to make a lazy drunken centurion for my sentries. I have a picture in my head of a fellow sat on his shield (like a sit mat)and leant up against a tree.
I just wondered what figure to use as a starting point. Never really done a conversion before.
Perhaps the warlord leper?
Any thoughts or guidance greatfully accepted :D

The centre casualty figure might be better, Carvel?

I agree with B.D. and B.A. the centre casualty fig would be great with aload of empty special brew cans around him and sick all down his front!! too far?
I'm thinking of using the "offering to mars" fig for an Arcani conversion.

Seems a bit heretical, but what about the Primus Pilus? Could the sword arm be modified as if looking for support, e.g. leaning on a wall, and the shield arm to take a tankard?

You'd have to get him to lean backward slightly, though!

The centre casualty figure could be modelled leaning over a small wall or tree stump, being Uncle Dick over it. You could add some of the big jugs from the slave girl.

Alternatively, you could perversely use the Roman Medicus kit. All three of the figures lend themselves to drunken debauchery without much modification. The doc would be pouring booze down the throat of the "patient"and their mate his holding him down. a sort of drinking game!
