No fear that the temperature in a steaming hot summer car cause your Pikemen to wear bend arms.

Well, I´m from Seville, Spain, over 48º temperature at shadow in summer, and my minis are ok, without bend arms! :?

Here I bring to you the tutorial I promised about How I painted my Romans.

Image

First of all, We paint the armor.
1-First we apply alayer of Citadel Boltgum Metal (Games Workshop).
2-When dry, we aply Citadel Babad Black ink.
3-First light with Boltgum Metal.
4-Second Light with Mithril Silver.

Image

Now, we go with the gold:

1-Paint golden things with CitadelTin Bitz.
2-Paint over it with Burnishing Gold.
3-Apply Deblan Mud.
4-First light with burnishing Gold, and second light with Shining Gold.

Image

The robe:

1-Citadel Mechrite Red.

2-Devlan Mud.

3-First light with a mix of 75% Mechrite red, 25% Blood Red.

4-Second light, same mix that in the first light with a little of vomit Brown.

Image

Brown:

1-Paint all brown things with scorched Brown.

2-To the leader aply bestial Brown, to the pilum a mix of scorched brown and bestial brown, and to the shoes apply Khemry Brown.

3-apply Devlan Mud over all.

4-Apply a licght with the same that you painted in the pass 2, and to the shoes apply a dry brush with 50%/50% khemry Brown/Bleached Bone.

Image

The Skin:

1-Use Tallarn Flesh mixed with a little blood Red.

2-Apply Ogryn Flesh.

3-Apply first light with Tallarn Flesh with a little blood red.

4-Second Light with Tallarn Flesh.

5-Paint a black dot in the eyes.

Image

The base:

1-Apply Vandall o Vallejo Pumice stone.

2-Apply Devlan Mud.

3-Paste a bit of citadel lawn.

Image

And now the shield.

1-Prime it on Black.

2-Paint the gold and metal parts.

3-Cut the transfer a bit smaller than it is, because the shield is smaller than the transfer. You´ll see a green guide in the image where you must cut (probe one before cut all of them XD).

4-Use this video-tutorial; Is in Spanish languaje but subtitle (more or less in english) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vx4qy9R90Iw&feature=youtu.be.

5-Paint the parts where you can see the black prime color with brown or red.

6-Apply Devlan Mud.

7-Apply Matt Barnish.

Very nice and your work will be of great help to many.

Your transfer's upside down though.
