Most hobby stores that have models or minis should have it. If not, it is available at Amazon.com. It is made by Microscale Industries. At my LGS it is about $4.00/bottle. On Amazon it is $5.20.

No trouble at all, you are not a pain, asking and answering questions is a big part of what the forums are about...

People use a variety of bases, some folk (like BD among others) use slotta bases, the GW style bases, you can get the apparently in bulk from ebay

I (and others) use the 20mm square packs or 25mm rounds from these guys:
http://renedra.co.uk/webstore.html
They are great, very good service.

I then make little plastic movement trays to move them about as units on.

Some folk just make their own by cutting up wooden board.

Have a scan at this thread, or just browse the 'show us yours' section, you will see loads of different options, and get some ideas hopefully: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3362

They look like they will do the job fantastically :)
going to pick some of them up :)
I don't know if you play it, but how simple are the hail Caesar rules to understand? as i'm considering buying that too, what are the kind of army sizes to be expected to use in hail caesar?

EDIT: Damn paypal, i have a "Limited" account with them because they can't be bothered to update there records, therefore no bases for me :(

Haven't got a copy of H.C. yet....But remember to buy it from webstore on Warlord site and I believe you get a free limited addition Centurion...he's pretty cool it has to be said!...I think that offer is still on.
I'm sure Carvel or someone who has got them will answer that question for you shortly....there might well be a few threads on it somewhere too.....If you are really lucky Rick Priestley who wrote it might come on here and run through it with you ;)

Do-it-yourself bases are very easy to make. Get some 2 or 3mm thickness plasticard from a hobby store. It is sold in sheets. Measure the width and use a straightedge to deeply score the material with a hobby knife and then snap it off. If you are playing with 28mm figures, then your most common size would be 40mm x 40mm square. I am building 24-figure units that are 8 x 3, so I put them on 4 -- 40x40 bases and 4 -- 40 x 20 bases. There are 4 figures on the 40 x 40's and 2 figures on the 40 x 20's. That gives the flexibility to make a larger unit that is only two-ranks deep instead of three. Three ranks looks better, but Romans in HC are two-rank units. If you are making 40 x 40 bases, then measure 40mm along the long edge of the plasticard sheet and snap off a long section and then cut that into 40mm sections. Follow? You can make a lot of bases very inexpensively. You can find plasticard on-line if not in your LGS. Have fun....
