I recently purchased a Roman Starter Army. I am assembling my Auxilia and seem to be missing an arm. One of the plastic castings seems to have only a forearm left. All of the sprues were full, so I am confused. Did I do something wrong? The figs I have made are anatomically correct (No joke flames here plz, I am referring to their arms! lol)
Hi. One of them only needs a fore arm adding, it is the guy with his arm raised, the fore arm goes on to make a stabbing position with his spear. Hope this helps.
"I've been a frickin' evil doctor for 30 frickin' years! So cut me some frickin' slack."
See the figure in the second row, second from the left and the first figure on the left of the third row. This is the chap you are asking about who has just the forearm!
Again, thanks for the rapid response! KK, I see it now-wow; those figs are amazing - how will I ever even approach that quality of painting? WELL DONE! aaaaaHOO! (Or Roman equivalent) Right then, back to the construction table!
Do you guys usually use slotta bases for your figures? What is a good way to get them in bulk - do I HAVE to buy them from the GREAT EVIL ONE's? lol
Thanks BigAl..I prefer them like this these days!!!!
Hi Erosthenes, welcome to the Forum always pleased to see a new recruit to the Imperial might of Rome Anyway glad you got your arms sorted out, and even more pleased you like my painting have to say the camera probably lies....I'm pretty average at painting! However there are some guys on here who really can paint!
I use slotta bases for all my figures out of habit! 20x20mm I buy them in bulk on ebay...they are so much cheaper there!.....Then I use acrylic textured gel to base them before covering in sand and various scatter mixes....tufts are popular! However others on here use those thin green plastic bases from Renedra.
Any time, Biggus! The thing is, you posted the pics on here, which is a resource, and Erosthenes needed help which they provided. The two just needed putting together!
