i'm just waiting for series 3 out in october...although not having sky will mean a dvd box set purchase as soon as it is available.
I'm using it as a reference for my gladiator training with Spiculum.....well that's what i tell the wife ;) .....if only it would stop raining so i could get in the garden with my sword...errrrrrr Gladius

I don't have sky either - but with my birthday coming up in November (the big 3-0) I'm sure it will be added to the list when relatives start asking me what I want and, as usual, I have no idea - apart from more toy soldiers of course

This TV series is like a big accident. Horrible, but you can't stop watching.

The costumes are inaccurate - get rid of them! ;)

I saw that on another site (Tabletop Fix or something) - might have to have a look at the game some time. It would be great to have a simple, fast paced Gladiator game in a box.

Well I've searched the internet to no avail - it's even out of stock on the Osprey website!
I visited my local Waterstones bookshop and they managed to track down the last one that they have in stock in the entire chain! It should hopfully be in the shop on Tuesday - just got to wait for a phone call.

Got the book today and am pretty happy with it - it's full of very useful information and pictures of the various gladiator types and the colour plates are up to Ospreys usual standard.

I know this is kind of late but there is another book Osprey did on Gladiators called 'Gladiator: Rome's Bloody Spectacle' and it's a nice, thicker(200+ pages) than the warrior series book with slick pages and illustrations (though I guess some will repeat those color plates you already have in that book). I don't own this particular one but I have 3 other Osprey titles in similar format. You can get it new for under £15 on uk amazon so pretty cheap.
You might want to check it out too.
