Hi Rob, Found you at last. I've been trying off and on to track you down lacking any help of unavailable NWGC Forum. If you recall, Kris and I met you in early/mid January for a game of Kampfgruppe Normandy at the NWGC "Hunting the Panther" Scenario. We're willing to have another go if you're interested/or try Flames of War. If you can make it to the Club, probably on a Wednesday, one or both of us, we'd be happy to play a game or few with you. I got the Kampfgruppe Normandy rulebook in the Christmas Deal you pointed me to, and my own playsheet, but chose a different scale. I'm kind of stuck in 15mm WWII now, but enjoying painting tanks instead of Napoleonics. I'm starting to try encourage Kris to build his own collection of stuff, starting by teaching him model assembly and painting. I've decided to pursue the objective of getting him set on wargames collecting as a second hobby. I'm keeping an eye out on a variety of genres compatible at least in part with the NWGC. If we played, for the moment you need to bring your own troops as my 15mm are still being painted, albeit simultaneous and with gaps of time between sessions. I know a little of World War II Theory, but in summary am probably no better than Kris who has never played that style of game.
Si cheers for the reply. I will be down to the NWGC on 16th may,it would be great to have another panther hunt I will bring down all the figures we need.As to 15mm figures they look okay and I have the new flames of war rules, although if I do go down the FOW route I would probably collect italians and afrika corps. See you next wednesday. All the best Robert.
