Its why i like the separate Command Rolls for supporting units. You can go storming off on 3 x Move Charges if you really want to. Whether its a good idea or not when you realise you're on your own ... :D

True... but I'm sure if you are Rupert's Horse regiment than that exactly what you will do!

Saw them both, turned them down.

To continue with the cricket parlance ...

I belive that mine was a straight delivery and any other inference was as a result of your debauched Royalist minds .... :D

From experience Rupert sits at the back whilst the opposition gets itself into a muddle before charging, ie; one Parliamentarian regiment was halfway across the battlefield whilst the regiment next to it was still resolutely where it deployed.
The one factor that was present in our modified Black Powder games that I haven't seen here was a rule for limited ammunition, prior to which both forces would move upto point blank and blast away until one side was obviously at the point of collapse, only then would the push of pike come.
Of course getting the amount of powder right was tricky, initially we lifted the 4 shot rule from WECW but that proved too little and shooting went out of the window completely, ultimately we came up with a rule that a regiment rolled a dice after each shot and on a 1 it was out of ammo, artillery were granted unlimited ammo.
