In the case you give the Cuirassiers would attempt to charge the the Swedish musket as normal, and that is the full extent of the blunder, as the blunder chart states it will attempt to charge the closest unit. Should the Swedish musket successfully form hedgehog, then the option is open to the Cuirassiers to stop short, as they have made an attempt to charge the nearest unit (the musket), there is no need now to continue into the new formation. This can be interpreted as the Cuirassiers thinking they have been ordered to charge the musket unit, and self preservation kicks when faced with a hedgehog.
However, should the nearest enemy unit be a formed hedgehog then the Cuirassiers would have to charge that to fulfil its blunder. This can be interpreted as the Cuirassiers believing they have been given a direct order to charge the hedgehog formation.
