28mm hard plastic Romans.

Hello everybody
This is my first post at this forum and i hope you can help me.
After buing some of osprey:s fortress books i decided to built a Roman legion wooden fort.
I have done a lot of work and soon i am done.
The fort i am going to use in a diorama where roman soldiers are under siege.
I need a lot of romans and with a lot of different weapons and poses.
Can any one help me so i can find out what are the best 28mm Roman hard plastic figures

Excellent figures, easy to put together and paint. I can't think of any better ones myself. They are easily the best around.

Hi welcome aboard, would second BigAl's suggestions. I would man the fort with a mixture of Ancillaries to represent the garrison troops and legionaries to represent support from one of the Legions... The veterans are my favourites. You can pose them in a variety of ways and you can easily convert them to get more poses.

Hope you have some pictures of the fort to share?
Yes to all of the above!
But check out the Roman medicus figure by warlord. It would add real character to a battlefield diorama.

Not sure what arms are provided with the Veterans set (those would look great for sure), but the normal Legionaries have quite a number of arms in a pilum-throwing position: would fit nicely in a fort, showering the unfortunate enemy with missiles from behind the battlements!

I took a look at Warlord figures and they look pretty good.
I am going to order some of them.
I also took a look at their siege weapons .
These small kits look perfect.More to follow.

Hello again.
I finally placed the order at Warlord.Some figures sets to combine together.
But i can not find any archers in hard plastic.Warlords figures are all in metal.
Does anyone nows if there archers in plastic?
