They're looking awesome B.D. very heroic & love the cloaks, waiting on mine turning up from croc games at the moment and trying to figure out how to attach Leonidas' foot to a shield? :?

Stuart, many thanks...............I'd recommend pining him to the shield...from memory he doesn't come with much regarding an attachment point on his foot....at least mine didn't, I used a 1mm dril on very, very slow to drill into his standing leg, and used a bit of wire paper clip in the end. Have you managed to get a suitable kneeling Spartan?

I just managed to get another 10 of these figures cheap by keeping a close on Ebay...normally i just search under "spartan"..They are rare but they do come up from time to time... I'll likely stop after this group although i may need a couple of figures to pad out the ranks that are short.....might use the odd officer to do this though!

B.D.- I think you're right pinning is goin to be the only way and it's going to be very fidly as he doesn't have much "foot", I did find a suitable kneeler! as luck would have it the same range as Leonidas does a kneeling spartan with a shield arm raised over his head, perfect. As soon as my 24 from croc turns up everything else will stop and I'll start on these, I'll get pics up once it's progressed.

Epic! As the kids would say, Epic!

Now you just need a Persian hoard for them to dust!

Splendid!! The grouping really captures the moment. 8-)

How did I miss these in their finished glory? Awesome, BD - well 'ard! I'm re-reading Kagan's book on the Peloponnesian War at present, and this just adds fuel to the fire that says "Get on with some Hoplites"! :?

Awesome! I can't think of anything as intimidating as a row of greek men holding their bloody shafts aloft!
It is not these well-fed long-haired men
that I fear, but the pale and the hungry-
looking.
