Brilliant idea. My missus does card making as well and has all sort of embossing whatsits and shape punches. She even has some pinking shears somewhere that are bound to prove useful.

@cubster, pinking shears are what I went for first as they can cut full rows of tiles, but my missus' remain conspicuous by their absence!

Work has started on various rubble piles including a Secrets of the Third Reich themed poster drum, complete with a French "Vichy - comite des fetes" and V gas warning poster

the Vichy poster is a reproduction of this one

I will happily put up a tutorial for rubble piles if requested.
sorry about the photos being off center, photobucket was being foolish today!

Genius... Mrs M has a stamp cutter like that!!!

Pinking Shears might be even better!!

@gorgarrak
Love the rubble piles!

Funnily enough my Missus does card making too!! I have just 'helped' her put it all in one cupboard upstairs so when I go to look for tools in the cupboard under the stairs, bits of card, special papers and stickers dont come raining down on to my head. I think pink cutting mats are an abomination and would only buy a green one for her recently ;)

@Gorgarrak- I am really impressed by what I have seen so far! I have built terrain and other things in the past but never really know where to store them when made. I once knocked a 40k style gothic ruin I had made off my shelf resulting in a ruin I had not intended :(
Maybe you and Mikeland can compete to build the most ambitious bit of terrain!

Keep posting as you progress 8-)

@ westwaller - on the subject of terrain storage, I find that a cheepo "billy style" bookcase from Ikea are great for terrain, i picked mine up for about £20 each with extra shelves. If you leave the back off one and stand it directly infront of another you get double depth and can easily slide 2'x2' terrain boards onto them

Those Billy bookcases have caught my eye too. It's cheaper to buy them and knock them up than to buy and stain the timber myself then waste hours cutting it all up.
