Pegasus Plastic Palm Trees

Postby Cubster » Fri Apr 19, 2013 12:18 pm

Spotted these babies in the newsletter, which is a nice addition to the store.

However, they're not cheap, which is fine because Pegasus usually do quality stuff, but can we please have a pic of the sprues or some constructed ones instead of just the box artwork?

Some size comparisons would probably be good as well, since they're labelled 1/72 - 1/87 scale.

With 5" and 7 3/4" they will fit well with 28 mm miniatures.

Cheers Richie. They do seem to be the Roll Royce of palm trees. Perhaps a little too rich if you're doing a jungle's worth, but great for a few dotted about on Pacific Island duty.

Hi Guys

I see somebody has already shown the link to my blog with the Palm Trees ...

Just a couple of points - Pegasus manufacture two sizes - small & large - you get five trees in the small box and three in the large. There are two large variants.

I personally think the large ones are best for 28mm.

They paint up very easy - I just primed them black andf then drybrushed.

The bases are not wide enough to allow the tee to stand up - you will need to make them bigger or heavier

cheers

They do look rather splendid. I wonder how many oases are going to be fought over in the coming months, with Perry figs et al. Quite a few, I'll wager ;)
