Pinesol, soak the model overnight if you can. Use gloves!!!

I've used it without issue on plastics and resin as well.

I hear Simple Green works as well or a bit better....

Yeah, that's the US equivalent of Dettol.

Okay - I've never used Dettol/Pine Sol, or Acetone, to remove paint off of metal minis; I usually use a general paint stripper.

I have some metal Russian Naps I'd like to strip. You let them soak in Dettol/Pine Sol for about 24 hours, but how long do you let them soak in Acetone?

I've used Simple Green (but the automotive version by Castrol I think) to GREAT effect on metal. Oven cleaner works well, and acetone. Simple Green is nice because you can wash it down the drain without your conscience bugging you. It's 100% green!

For removing paint from metals that have plastic stands I use Acetone free nail polish remover. You need to immerse the figure in the liquid for a few minutes and then lightly scrub with a toothbrush or similar to remove the paint. Dont forget to wash the figure afterwards.

I decided to try something REALLY radical instead - Dot 3 break fluid!!!

The Russians are in the bath as I type.

Not sure why I'm even stripping them...but something just seems 'off'. Oh well, I can start over.

Out of curiosity has anyone tried oil eater? I have been told it is similar to simple green which is unavailable here in south Korea.

Never tried, but you certainly need to register on the 'Where in the World' thread, because you're the first South Korean on here!
