I usually go for 24hours which is likely too long.
Let them eat Static.

Usually ok for an undercoat as soon as it has set hard. How long that is will depend on how warm it is...around three hours here.

As I've only been using it on small areas, I've been doing it before I go out to work in the morning that way it's dry and ready when I get back. But I have painted over it after about four hours and that was fine.

4 hours to paint over, 6 to sculpt over, but you could always use a putty oven.
