I have a very modest selection of 40 odd paints, probably 20 pf which are favourites I use most of the time. Mainly Vallejo and GW, but a few others. I will be giving these a try if I can get them easily.

I will say this, based on the prior products, I would anticipate the AP paints to be very good indeed.
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

AP do make very good products no doubt about it.

IMO they have joined the paint race a little too late as there are many good paints in the acrylic form already well established. I am assuming they will be looking for web sales as opposed to store sales as most stores will already carry a range and the display units which are very expensive .

I am quite sure they have made paints previously in the Mantic paint sets of which my son has one.

In the UK at least you can assume that postal and show sales will far out-weigh shop sales. As for shop sales, if a good case can be made for a change (really good product/good deal) then that should happen as well.

Things change. I remember the days when everyone was buying Wargames Foundry figures!

oH Don't get me going on Wargames Foundry.

This firm seems to be going in very strange circles. They have now a seperate website for their fantasy stuff according to the E mail they sent me yesterday.Perhaps they are now erring more towards the collector/painter than the wargamer.

Indeed that is what Bryan told me many years ago when I was trying to buy Wargames Foundry.

I have to say I'm grateful to Foundry for some of their figures ... these days I seem to buy about £30 worth once a year (when they are discounting - I just make sure the discount covers the high postage). I tend to use their figures to add variety among my centurions and signifiers, as well as senior command vignettes (planned but not executed so far). I have just taken delivery of a cart, oxen and mules which will form the heart of a baggage train vignette (another distraction!) ... I'll add a couple of Warlord marching legionaries, some Baueda amphorae etc:

I do believe that's a Warlord legionary! (It would be nice to see Warlord sell their products.)

Cheers
