WIP trebuchet now x 2!

Postby tas 1812 » Sat Aug 18, 2012 2:27 am

Hi all,

My WIP trebuchet, lots to do but I've finally found a design and materials I can work with :) It's modelled on the 1/72 Zvezda kit which is now almost impossible to come by, so I liked the design and proportions so I've based this one on it.

Kudos if you can guess what the frame is made from :)

and a couple of shots for scale comparisons...

And the award for Best use of the GW Measuring Stick goes to ...

Well done - and great use of at-hand materials!

The skill and ingenuity that I have seen here and else where always is a welcome surprise. :thumbsup

Much better than some made by the classic wargaming companies.

Irregular did one with a bar connecting the two sides. Ignoring that the counterweight would crash it.

Very nice use of what is mainly scrap plastic.
:thumbsup

I hope it gets a less colourful paint scheme though. ;)

Noooo! More colourful! Make it out in different animal prints - leopard, tiger, giraffe - the enemy will never be able to look at it long enough to work out what it is.

You mean something like the giraffes in Stockholm?
