A spiked mace the swedish way

Postby Johnnie » Sat Mar 24, 2012 4:21 pm

Just kidding. It's my paintstick with a load of Perrys agincourt to orléans range attached to it. Got a good swing though :D

The X-ray picture might impress the experts a little.

I use a similar club for 30mm flat miniatures. But they make no deep dents.

All joking aside for a mo... does undercoating like this save a lot of wasted paint? I find spraying onto a flat surface quite wasteful

I've started using Vallejo black primer applied with a brush and although it's early days, I'm very happy with it thus far. You get plenty for your money and you get maximum coverage.

Dont know about the amount of colour going to waste I just use this for getting as good cover as possible. Been undercoating on flat surfaces before but not happy with the coverage like underneath and so.

I hand painted my undercoat for years but found it quite breathtaking with 24+ figs :?

Ah, now I get it. You turn the stick to undercoat to spray the underside of the models, yes? Ingenius.

Cool. Better coverage is always good (and it will stop the wall behind my spray board turning black!) the only concern I would have is minis coming off of the stick.... and where i would put it until the spray dries
